Sigh its about time. Moreso with the Iphone. One pays hundreds of $$ for a phone only to be told how to use it. piss off apple! ( however I wonder if they will void warranty for doing so - and also a nice way to introduce a virus) Pc games, dvds everything. woo! |

This is good news but I can't remember if the more recent Canadian "DMCA" had these provisions in them as well. I have a feeling that as long as the Conservatives are in power they'll be trying to put this through so hopefully it gets rejected at every step of the way. |

There were all sorts of provisions for fair use in the proposed Cdn law, HOWEVER it explicitly bans circumventing DRM to do it. |
