Take the core up in small increments, say 10 or 5 MHZ, benching after each change and watching for artifacts (3DMark firefly is the best I've seen for this) Once you start artifacting, back it off 10MHz, then do the same for the RAM and shader clock. ronedogg wrote: also can how can i go about oc;ing my amd64x2 4200 processor.
my main board is a asus a8v xe Drop your HTT multi to 3x Drop your memory divider as low as it goes lock the PCI clock at 33 lock the CPU multi slowly start upping your FSB you can also drop your CPU multi by one to determine your MAX FSB You can then start upping your memory divider and HTT multi. I use SuperPi for a quick stability test, but if your looking for a 24/7 OC, it would be best to run something which loads it down a bit more like Prime95 or Orthos. Running Memtest86 is also a good idea. Keep a eye on your temperatures ![]() |

if u really wnat to push the limits, then you have to get an after market cooler. and than start uppsing the voltage...this may not do alot depending on the chip but it is an option...as for temp i have no clue...i have beeen outta the market for awhile |
