I personally have had no problems with the believability of Core Temp on either of my boxes. They are 790fx and 770 chipsets.

Core temp has a built-in G15 applet, if that's of any consequence.

well the reason im asking is because in hwmonitor i get two temps for the cpu which im guessing one is the motherboard reading the surface of the cpu and the other is the Vcore?

The other issue im having with HWmonitor is its reading my cpu @ 115w when @ stock 3.4 or OC to 4.0 and its a 125w cpu Im guessing HWmonitor cant read the new 890 chipset correctly.

I moved on from Everest to AIDA64. I also use Speccy for some basic readings.
