risk damaging your cpu from a high memory voltage...you also risk damaging your cpu from overclocking...sorry but it seems like this warning is being blown up a bit..i will take it seriously when we see some chips fried from this..

Agreed. I'll pick one up eventually and try it out. I'm sure clarke would as well.

Eventually meaning when the price drops , etc. etc.

I'm not concerned now ebcause of the voltages and my quad @ 3.69 does just fine with the 4870X2..

So I guess what im saying is. When I fry the quad ill be going that route to try some shit out.

1) It's just Intel covering their own arses.
OR 2) Maybe they just didn't quite get it right this time.
OR 3) Maybe they are still using crap components.
OR all of the above.
