Ok I have a computer and it is giving me the blue screen or restarts just as I join a server in combat arms. Cod4 runs fine, most of the time, but has restarted. System is a e6600, 2 gb ddr800, 7900gtx, wd 250gb, 500w ps. Temps are great mid 30's. This is a pretty fresh install of xp and is up to date. All drivers are up to date as well. firewall is set to allow all effected programs. Firefox will sometimes not load pages either. Motherboard is new, ram is good, swapped out video card with no effect. changed power supplies as well with no effect. I have even changed the HD, and just restarts. Must be something simple I am missing. My next move is a reformat I think. Any ideas?

check your nb ans sb temps. i had a problem similar to that. but it was only when i had my pc oc over 3.4 ghz i would do that to me. i checked my sb and nb temps. they were really high on teh board so i positioned a fan to blow on them and it solved the problem.

i would run memtest on the ram. even tho it might not be. ya cant rule nothing out. good luck
also check your bios jumper is in the DEFAULT position

Turned out to be a trojan. Several scanners missed it but it was eventually found and removed.
