Well, I think I can finally say my pc is built and running to satisfaction.

New board seems to have fixed all the problems. Framerates are great and system stability is flawless.

It's hard to think I had to replace every piece of hardware in this pc to fix some of the problems I was having.

Anyways, I attached some screenshots of CPU-Z and GPU-Z along with some monitors and what not. I plan on running some benches on some games in Win7 soon and I'll be sure to share it with my fellow geeks here at mb.

Thanks for all your help along the way everyone. Your advice and insight has helped me to build that gaming pc i always wanted.

What's this Idle you speak of?

Glad to hear its all worked out.

Now I wanna see your desktop wallpaper lol

Top seen the one I had on my brother's xmas UV build...

lets just say he liked the zoom option and the ability to crop things out for closer (and well warranted) inspection. His missus was actually very nice about the perversion that was taking place.

hehe - had to mention that - was funny as hell.

yeah win 7 was great with those there. I could cut out those nipples and make a avatar out of then in like 5 seconds flat. lol!

Actually, my background rotates my screenshot folder from Xfire. That was an RE5 screenshot.

As for 42 idle, that is a little high actually, it can be around 39 sometimes and I run the fan at 40. Never seen it break 60 yet either.

Giggity..

42 idle on a stock cooler?

Yup!

And I was just coming out of a game when those were recorded.

I am surprised it isnt a little lower, I mean if theres good airflow in your case. More concerned with the load temps if the idle is ~42. I would expect load to hover around 58-60.

I am friggin picky tho when it comes to that - like a woman and her hair lol

maybe an inexpensive aftermarket would drop those ~8+ degrees for ya. Then you can overclock a lil and not have to worry. For now you can remove the side panel and have a couple topless women blow on the cpu fan :P ( but something tells me the ambient would go up instead lol )

She was smokin!

There I even put a avatar up to share!

Oh yeah... That is a hot cpu! I'm used to 20C on a high overclock. . But I was spoiled a little with my old unit

ROTFLMAO @ the avatar

I went for very high res so you can zoom in and count the hairs on her 12V battery terminal nip that she missed during hair removal (photoshop most likely) - I dont mind leavin one or two behind, its only good hygiene to floss after eatin right?

HAHA!!

Nice job TOP!!

Meh, like I said, that was after coming out of a game. It's at 38C right now and I've never seen it hit 60 yet. Temps are fine.

Now at stock fan speeds, completely different. I was idling at 65-70 at stock. But at 40 percent I'm in the butter zone for my satisfaction.

I did have an Accellero Twin Turbo vga cooler, but included it with my 8800gt when I sold it. Shame, was a fantastic cooler, dropped my 8800gt by about 20 degrees.

yeah I have the same cooler. I removed it from one of my 3870's. It is an awesome cooler for sure and it did drop temps considerably which in turn allowed for a landslide difference as compared to my other 3870 for overclockability.
